Healing from the Inside Out

There are times when you may notice you are feeling depleted. You may or may not understand why or how you got there, but you just don’t feel quite yourself. This program is for those times.

Many of the practices in this program are energetic. The yogic tradition teaches that we have a physical body and an energetic body. The two are intimately connected. Therefore, when we work on the subtle body—through asana, breath work, and meditation—we are creating new energetic patterns for the physical counterpart to follow.

Yoga can be a great way to cleanse and heal the subtle energy body and thus, create rejuvenation—physically and psychologically.

Pranayama: Breath of Life

We begin this program with the breath. This practice guides you to use the breath for cleansing and purification . In order for the subtle body to absorb prana more efficiently from the surroundings, it must be cleansed. The breath is a powerful tool to create inner cleansing and connectivity.

Practical advice: If you have additional time, feel free to move on and combine this with another practice. This is great to do before any meditation or yoga class.

Meditation: EMBRACING WHAT IS

A big step towards restoring your body and mind is acceptance. The more you fight with how you are feeling, the more energy you waste. This meditation practice will help you to simply observe and embrace whatever is going on within and around you.

Healing Yoga: SURFING THE SPINE

This gentle movement practice helps to restore inner balance by releasing energetic blockages along the central energetic channels of the body. As these energetic channels are cleansed and become more open, prana or vital energy is able to flow more freely through our system.

Vinyasa Yoga: MORNING GLORY

This is more dynamic yoga practice that will recharge your physical body.  This is a great practice to generate strenth and stability again. Stay with your breath throghout the class, and modify if you need to. While it's called "Morning Glory" this can be done at any time throughout your day. 

Practical Advice : If you aren't familiar with the vinyasa system (or sun salutations) you can do these videos first to get familiarized with the movement and coordination with the breath: Sun Salutations-Beginner or Sun Salutations-Intermediate

Meditation: Meditation on Twin Hearts (Loving-Kindness Meditation)

This meditation practice is also known as the meditation on loving-kindness. It works on opening the heart and crown chakras—the energetic centers associated with love, kindness, and compassion. As these two energy enters open, more energy can enter the system and we begin to create the energetic conditions and mental patterns associated with positivity and love. This meditation is meant to heal the practitioner from the inside out.
